Deck Fittings for Charlestown Navy Yard - Dry Dock #1

Schoellhorn-Albrecht is very proud to have been selected by Steel America as the supplier for the fittings on the Caisson built for the Charlestown Navy Yard - Dry Dock #1. Schoellhorn-Albrecht supplied the Shell Bitts, Cleats and Open Chocks.

Dry Dock #1 is one of the first two dry docks in the United States and is a historical landmark at one end of the Boston Freedom Trail. The Charlestown Dry Dock #1 has an overall dimension of 341ft x 100ft. The Dry Dock was completed in 1833 and it serves as a safe haven for the USS Constitution and the Cassin Young (DD-793).
